Tap Payments Climbs 11 Places in Two Years on Forbes Middle East’s Fintech 50
The 2026 ranking marks our third consecutive appearance as we continue building payment infrastructure for more than 120,000 businesses across MENA.
Tap Payments has climbed to 13th in Forbes Middle East’s Fintech 50 for 2026, up from 18th in 2025 and 24th in 2024.
Recognized Among MENA’s Leading Fintech Companies
Forbes Middle East’s annual list covers companies across payments, digital banking, lending and other financial services. Its ranking considers factors including transaction activity, geographic reach, growth, innovation and impact on businesses and consumers.
Reflecting on the recognition, Ali Abulhasan, Co-Founder and CEO of Tap Payments, said
“Our focus is on helping businesses operate across MENA with payment infrastructure built around each market’s needs. That takes local expertise and close collaboration with regulators, banks and payment networks. I’m proud of the team doing this work and grateful to our customers and partners for their continued trust.”
Connecting Payments Across MENA
We support more than 120,000 businesses across MENA, from enterprises operating in several countries to growing local businesses.
Our infrastructure connects businesses to local payment methods, including mada in Saudi Arabia, KNET in Kuwait, Benefit in Bahrain, NAPS in Qatar, Omannet in Oman and Jaywan in the UAE. These sit alongside international card networks such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
With licenses and regulatory approvals across all six GCC countries and Egypt, we help businesses work with one regional payment partner as they expand.
Bringing Business Payments Together With tapOS
Accepting payments is only part of the work. Businesses also need to track balances, manage payouts, issue invoices and reconcile payment activity.
tapOS, our operating system for payments in MENA, brings billing, payment acceptance, wallets, payouts and reporting into one workspace.
It gives finance and operations teams visibility and control over their Tap payment activity across brands and markets, helping them manage the work as their business grows.
Let's Build What's Next Together
Thank you to Forbes Middle East for the recognition, to our customers and partners for their continued trust, and to our team for the work behind it.
